Segene is an adjunct professor at Nihon University in the Department of Oceanic Architecture and Engineering. He is also a trainer for the ULI Japan UrbanPlan Workshop, working with universities across Japan, including Waseda, Meiji, Tsukuba, Nihon University, and many others. Additionally, he has delivered numerous lectures, presentations, and participated in panel discussions in various countries
